Sarah Wagner, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

While Sarah (she/her) grew up in a military family she’s spent most of her life in the Olympia area and has a deep deep love for Mount Rainier and all things PNW related. Sarah earned her Bachelors degree in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University in 2018 and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in 2021.

Sarah holds that relationship is central to the human experience and given that, her work focuses on helping folks navigate relationships. Sometimes this means working with a couple addressing their partnership and sometimes that means working with an individual to address their relationship with themselves or loved ones. Whatever the context, understanding what we
need as humans from an attachment lens, guides Sarah’s work in supporting people in reconnecting with themselves, others, and their world. After all, we are just humans trying to figure out how to be human together.

My Approach To Therapy

If you've ever sensed your invincibility waning, you may recognize the feelings of isolation, exhaustion, frustration, or helplessness that often accompany it. These emotions frequently stem from a common adversary: disconnection. Whether triggered by stress, conflict, infidelity, a diagnosis, or simply feeling "off," disconnection undermines our ability to navigate life's challenges and meet our needs. However, I firmly believe in the power of reconnecting—with ourselves and with our support systems. As human beings, we are inherently wired for connection.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I delve into the intricacies of human relationships, drawing from our interconnected nature, human functioning, and fundamental needs. My aim is to equip you with the tools to not only adapt to the future but also heal from the past. Being human isn't always straightforward, yet I am passionate about guiding you towards a deeper understanding of yourself and your human needs. This understanding is crucial for creating fulfilling lives and relationships that bring joy. My practice offers a warm and empathetic environment where we can navigate life's challenges together and reconnect with the world and those around us.

I provide telehealth therapy to individual clients and couples ages 18 and up.
