My Approach to Therapy

As a cognitive-behavioral therapist, my approach is to explore the intricate connections among your thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and emotions. Through increased self-awareness and insight, we'll pinpoint your strengths and challenges. My focus is on helping you build cognitive flexibility, change unhelpful behavioral patterns, and develop self-awareness. My therapy sessions consistently involve validation of your experiences and emotions, encouragement to establish and maintain boundaries, realistic goal setting, employment of logical thinking, nurturing self-compassion, and embracing laughter as a way to cope with life's difficulties.

I hold specialized expertise in trauma-informed care. Additionally, I am culturally competent in treating first responders and understand the unique needs of this community. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I strive to provide meaningful and personalized interventions tailored to your needs. Working towards therapy goals is a shared endeavor. My expectation is that you will actively participate in therapy and in changing your life, while my responsibility is to support and guide you along this transformative journey. I look forward to working with you!

I work with adults ages 18 and up. I am currently working exclusively with first responders (firefighters, law enforcement, EMS) as new clients. L & I claims are accepted.
